Puck Polter in Magazine for Internet Law on exhaustion of copyright on software

Written by: Vondst Newsdesk

Puck Polter of Vondst comments on Court of Justice 12 October 2016, C-166/15 (Ranks en Vasiļevičs vs. Microsoft Corp.). This decision is a continuation of the UsedSoft decision where copyright on software appeared to be subject to exhaustion. Part two of the UsedSoft decision is less sensational though an unexpected twist is given to exhaustion of copyright on software. Published in Tijdschrift voor Internetrecht 5/2016.
